A Division – 3RD & 4TH Grade: 50, 54, 58, 62, 66, 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 90, 94, 98, 105, 115, 130, 150, 175(MAX)

If your 12th birthday is in 2022, you must move up one department. Second grade students can enter with parental consent. NO 1st grade students

Group B-5TH & 6TH Grade: 60, 65, 70, 74, 78, 82, 86, 90, 94, 98, 103, 108, 114, 120, 128, 138, 148, 160, 15(180) MAX

If your 14th birthday is in 2022, you must move up one department.

Group C-7TH & 8TH Grade: 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 110, 115, 120, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 1,9, 15 260 (Max )

If your 16th birthday falls in 2022, you are not eligible. There is no ninth grade.

Region: 6 or fewer wrestlers: round robin. The above six wrestler supports will be 8, 16 or 32 person cross supports. Wrestlers will be randomly drawn and assigned, and wrestlers of the same club will be separated as much as possible. We fought to the fifth place. There is no second place to wrestle. Will fight to the real 4th place.

The top 4 finishers of each weight are eligible to enter the state. If any of the top 4 is not registered, it will be ranked second in the order of completion.  

Status: The wrestler is placed in the bracket according to the rotation formula completed in the area of ​​use. Wrestling through 8 places. There is no second place to wrestle. 

Top 4 medals in the district. State top 8 medals. State champions get customized equipment

The AAU club awards prizes in the state based on the size of the club.

*We reserve the right to combine the weight classes of 3 or fewer wrestlers. **At the highest weight in each department, if we have a significant weight difference (usually a weight difference of more than 15%), we will create a new bracket

*** It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and coach to determine whether the wrestler should safely participate in the mat. For safety reasons, you can give up or withdraw your wrestler at any time.

Awards: The top eight received placement medals. The champion won the AAU state championship wall chart and the championship award! !

Weight: Iowa Event Center, 233 Centre St, Des Moines, IA 50309. Saturday, February 26, 2022, 5-8 pm. Must be weighed individually. Please verify the spelling of the wrestler’s name and change it when weighing. If updates are made, they will be announced via the TrackWrestling email system.

Registration: The registration fee for online registration at www.trackwrestling.com is $35. The deadline is February 23, 2022. You must bring your AAU card, score certificate, and birth certificate for weighing during the competition or as required. All AAU cards must be purchased before weighing. -Not sold at the door. Buy online: www.aausports.org AAU cards cannot prove age.

Eligibility: Registration is limited to Iowa residents and former Iowa team members. Exceptions will be decided by a committee vote and will only be used to support the event bracket or to provide opportunities for further development of Iowa women's wrestling.

Tickets: $15.00 for adults / $10 for students (5-12 years old) / free for children aged 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the Wells Fargo Arena.

Coach: The coach must have an AAU card to be on the mat. The fee for the coaching band is $20, including Sunday admission and the opportunity to use the mat. Floor Pass: $25 This allows you to enter the floor, but not the mat. Receive your pass when weighing and entering the Wells Fargo Arena.

The gate will open at 7 am, Grand March will open at 8 am, and the wrestling will start at 8:30 am

All competitions will be conducted using the digital competition system on TrackWrestling. Each heavyweight will be assigned a mat and they will wrestle most of the day. The game will move with the opening of the mat and will be announced.

Certified officials and trainers. No headgear is needed. Braces need braces. Folklore competition rules also apply to AAU Kids State.

Participants of AAU KIDS STATE and AAU GIRLS STATE will have "no minimum waiting time". Those who participate in both must contact Director Loyd in order to obtain the actual scale weight.

Coolers or food containers are not allowed in the auditorium.

Professional photographers will provide podium pictures for purchase.

Ensure that any skin conditions are under control and accompanied by a doctor's certificate.

Event T-shirt: When the event is approaching, the flyer will be sent via email through the email list generated by the track and field wrestling registration. These will be purchased online and picked up when Girl's State weighs in. They will not be sold at the event. 100% of all sales go to "Iowa AAU Women's Wrestling".
